IBS is a common disorder that affects the large intestine that come with abdominal symptoms such as cramping, bloating, gas etc. A low FODMAP diet is currently the only management strategy for IBS. By reducing your intake of FODMAP's, most people are able to manage their symptoms.

 

It is important to note that one should preferably be under the care of a docotor and dietitian when starting your journey on the lod FODMAP diet. A low FODMAP diet is not intended to be followed for life, but a way to identify your specific symptoms triggers.
